Zona16.

Zona16 is an independent art studio founded in Pistoia through the encounter of young people passionate about style writing, visual arts, and muralism.

Its roots trace back to the years of the first nights spent out on the streets drawing and painting, experiences that gradually helped shape an entire generation of artists and creatives. As time went by, the collective evolved through different forms, names, and identities, while always preserving a strong connection to urban culture, mural painting, and visual experimentation.

Through local and international collaborations, festivals, monumental artworks, and painterly research, the members of the studio transformed what was once the shared dream of a crew of young writers into a concrete artistic and professional path, building over time a mature and recognizable visual language without losing touch with urban aesthetics and the original roots of the movement.

Many of the people who have been part of the project throughout the years eventually followed different paths, both artistic and outside the creative field, yet the human and creative bond built over time still continues to fuel collaborations, passion, shared productions, and new ideas far beyond the purely artistic sphere.

Zona16 has existed as an idea for several years, but since 2025 it has found a permanent home in Pistoia, the city where everything originally began, becoming a reference point for many personalities connected to the worlds of culture and art.

The studio’s visual research unfolds through walls, architecture, canvases, urban surfaces, and site-specific interventions, blending contemporary painting, lettering, calligraphy, geometry, abstraction, natural elements, and constantly evolving figurative compositions.

Zona16 continues to exist as a living collective reality, suspended between urban memory, contemporary experimentation, and artistic research.
